美國舞臺管理專業(yè)申請解析

　　舞臺管理專業(yè)(Stage Management)，類似的專業(yè)包括劇場管理(Theater Management)，在國內(nèi)較知名的藝術(shù)類院校里一般都有設(shè)置，或設(shè)置在舞臺美術(shù)系之下，或設(shè)置在藝術(shù)管理系之下。該類院校包括：中央戲劇學(xué)院、中國音樂學(xué)院以及上海戲劇學(xué)院等等。

　　由于該專業(yè)在國內(nèi)高校并不是普遍設(shè)置，所以留學(xué)群體相對較小，下面澳際美國留學(xué)專家王聰謙老師，將之前申請過和了解到的一些美國大學(xué)對該專業(yè)的設(shè)置情況和錄取要求羅列如下：

　　該校的戲劇學(xué)院School of Theatre教育系統(tǒng)非常齊全，MFA分別有下列主修，另外學(xué)校還有PhD的課程。

　　Theatre Management錄取要求：

　　1、Theater相關(guān)本科學(xué)位，或者有Theater的相關(guān)工作經(jīng)驗(yàn);

　　2、本科最后兩年的GPA3.0，或者研究生GPA3.0，或者GRE成績1000分以上;

　　3、California State University-Long Beach 加州州立大學(xué)長灘分校–CSULB

　　1949年建立，是美國人夢寐以求的Beach and Party School!校區(qū)很大，有三百多畝，據(jù)說是加州州立大學(xué)之中最大的一所，長灘市是南加州不可不去的觀光景點(diǎn)(據(jù)說大家都去觀光…海軍基地)

　　該校最有名的藝術(shù)科系畢業(yè)的校友是赫赫有名，全世界人都知道的史帝芬斯皮爾伯格Steven Spielberg，不過他…1968年之后，念完大三，就人不見了(其實(shí)是因?yàn)榕牧艘徊科珹mblin，被電影公司挖走了)…直到2002年他才又回去學(xué)校，把大四念完，他在加大長灘分校剛開始其實(shí)是很坎坷的，因?yàn)樗潜粋鹘y(tǒng)的電影學(xué)校拒絕之后(數(shù)據(jù)上沒有說哪一家，不過有可能是CalArt或是SFAI…嘻)，就跑到加大長灘去…主修居然是English，資料上說，他有一天跳上了一臺去好萊塢電影公司參觀的車，后來他常常不情自請就去參觀人家電影公司，等到他把24分鐘Amblin拍完之后，他就被公司簽了下來，而且這部片還得了很多電影獎呢!后來他55歲回到學(xué)校去，主修就改成Film and Electronic Art，畢業(yè)的時候很多媒體都有報導(dǎo)，替這個系打了不少免費(fèi)廣告呢!

　　加大長灘分校的藝術(shù)學(xué)院簡稱為COTA 領(lǐng)域分為：

　　1. ART藝術(shù)
　　藝術(shù)系提供有MA和MFA兩種學(xué)位; MA的主修分別有Art Education, Art History, 再加上創(chuàng)作藝術(shù)類的主修:Ceramics, Drawing & Painting, Fiber, Graphic Design, Illustration, Metals, Photography/ Digital, Printmaking, Sculpture/ Intermedia, and Wood. MA要念完, 至少要修30-33個學(xué)分, 依主修有所不同

　　MFA主修, 沒有藝術(shù)教育和藝術(shù)史, 都是在創(chuàng)作藝術(shù)類下面, 共11種:Ceramics, Drawing & Painting, Fiber, Graphic Design, Illustration, Metals, Photography/ Digital, Printmaking, Sculpture/ Intermedia, and Wood. 要念完MFA的話, 要修滿60學(xué)分

　　2. DANCE舞蹈 　　
　　3. DESIGN設(shè)計
　　主要提供兩種主修，分別是工業(yè)設(shè)計和室內(nèi)設(shè)計，但是系上特別提醒，非本科系的申請者他們不鼓勵喔!﹙直接建議你去再念一個大學(xué)學(xué)位)，Core 77也有介紹，不過畢業(yè)生的portfolio還不是很多
　　4. FILM AND ELECTRONIC ARTS影片和電子藝術(shù)(特別的，不過只有BA)
　　5. MUSIC音樂
　　6. THEATRE ARTS劇場藝術(shù)
　　劇場藝術(shù)系里又有三個主修，分別是

　　MFA in Acting 演出

　　MFA in Stage Design 舞臺設(shè)計

　　MFA in Theatre Management 劇場管理 錄取方面要求學(xué)生要有相關(guān)專業(yè)背景，GPA達(dá)到3.0，同時要提供GMAT成績。該專業(yè)同時提供MFA和MBA雙學(xué)位，是戲劇系和商學(xué)院共同提供的課程，要修30個商業(yè)學(xué)分，項(xiàng)目時長一共是三年，包含兩個暑假學(xué)期。

　　申請截止日：各系所不同，藝術(shù)系的MFA/MA是在1月1日到2月1日間

　　Production Assignments

　　MFA Stage Management students must complete their production assignments to fulfill the program graduation requirements. Students are awarded stage management assignments that increase in complexity as they progress through the program. The specific number and progression of assignments will vary according to scheduling, availability, and student ability. Typical production assignments are as follows:

　　錄取方面，2008年9月份以后學(xué)生不用再提交GRE成績，學(xué)生要提交兩篇writing samples，而且要進(jìn)行面試。
