美國留學(xué)土木工程專業(yè)深度簡析

所謂土木工程，是指一切和水、土、文化有關(guān)的基礎(chǔ)建設(shè)的計劃、建造和維修。從狹義定義上來說，土木工程(Civil Engineering)也就是民用工程，即建筑工程(或稱結(jié)構(gòu)工程)、橋梁與隧道工程、巖土工程、公路與城市道路、鐵路工程等這個小范圍。

而美國研究生專業(yè)領(lǐng)域，土木工程多屬于Civil Engineering或Civil and Environmental Engineering，其下分支主要有：

水利工程(Water engineering)，

部分學(xué)校該專業(yè)分的更細(xì)，如UIUC的結(jié)構(gòu)工程(Structural engineering)下就還細(xì)分了地震工程和地震風(fēng)險管理(earthquake engineering and seismic risk management)，鋼筋、混凝土、磚石、木材、和復(fù)合建筑和橋梁(steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and composite buildings and bridges)、structural dynamics and control(結(jié)構(gòu)動力學(xué)與控制)、structural health monitoring (結(jié)構(gòu)健康監(jiān)測)等。
