　　To help plan for a Northeastern education, families should be aware tuition is charged when a student is taking classes/earning academic credit. No tuition is charged while a student is on co-op (although the student will pay room and board if he or she stays University housing while on co-op). Grants and loans from federal and state sources are distributed evenly throughout each academic year. Northeastern grants and scholarships are distributed in terms when tuition is charged.
