美國物理專業(yè)套磁經(jīng)驗(附套磁信模板).

  我是先申請再套磁,寒假才開始正式套磁。對于本科沒有任何research的人來說,學術套太就結了。我的方法是:

  1、先定一個方向,比如現(xiàn)在很熱的太陽能;

  2、去學校網(wǎng)站上找個做這個的老師,看他的論文;

  3、發(fā)郵件騷擾,問一個很淺顯的問題,如果你能問出牛逼的問題更好。

  我套磁的目的只是讓這些老師知道我是誰,我想去你那讀書,這樣就夠了。

  先發(fā)一封信給教授,一周不回就再發(fā)一封,還不回就換老師,回了就開始聊。我想了想,是不是那些100+的學校也很難招到學生?我套的排名靠后的學校的教授基本都回了,排名靠前的回的不到一半。

  I will finish a BS degree in Physics at XX University . I have applied to XX&aposs PhD program, fall 2011, and would be interested joining your research group.

  I have read your homepage and learnt that you have focused on developing a fundamental understanding of the electronic and optical properties of novel materials systems. In your homepage, you also mentioned the research about photovoltaic materials such as GaAs solar Cells. Since I have spent lots of time on solid physics, learnt that there are some difficulties of growing solar cells (such as CdTe expitaxially on Si). And they can be partly solved by introducing an interracial layer, such as As, which has allowed the formation of coherent interface. But I wonder that isn&apost Arsenic poisonous to human? Does that has some side fect on the application of solar energy?
