美國老師40年同一件衣服登學校年鑒.

　　美國出現(xiàn)了一件新奇的事情，美國一位體育老師，40年檢登在學校年檢上面的照片竟然都穿著同一件衣服。相比看到這里，大家一定會覺得很驚訝，這是巧合嗎?或者還是有什么別的原因呢?

　　A gym teacher is retiring after a 40-year career - and taking his trademark yearbook outfit with him.

　　一位教齡40年的體育老師即將退休——他具有標志性的服裝也將淡出學校年鑒。

　　Dale Irby, 63, accidentally wore the same clothes - a brown v-neck sweater and groovy white patterned shirt- for the school yearbook photo in both 1973 and 1974.

　　63歲的Dale Irby，在1973年和1974年不小心穿著同樣的棕色V領毛衫和時髦的白色花紋襯衫出現(xiàn)在了學校年鑒上。

　　When his wife Cathy, also a teacher, dared him to wear the outfit for the third-year running at Prestonwood Elementary in Texas, Mr Irby accepted the challenge - and ran with it.

　　Dale在德州的普斯頓沃小學教書。他的妻子Cathy也是老師，就問他敢不敢第三年還穿同樣的衣服出現(xiàn)在學校年鑒上，他接受了這個挑戰(zhàn)，然后這個傳統(tǒng)就繼續(xù)下去了。

　　Each time his picture was taken during his 40-year career, he reached for his old favorite threads.

　　在40年的職業(yè)生涯中，每次拍照時他都穿他最喜歡的這套衣服登上學校的年鑒。

　　He told the Dallas Morning News: &aposI was so embarrassed when I got the school pictures back that second year and realized I had worn the very same thing as the first year... After five pictures, it was like: &apos&aposWhy stop?&apos&apos&apos

　　他對《達拉斯早間新聞》表示：“第二年拍完照后，看完照片后我才意識到自己穿著和去年一樣的衣服去拍照，我感到很尷尬。但是連續(xù)五次之后，我想：“干嘛不繼續(xù)?”

　　because he had been instructed to smarten up instead of wearing his usual gym shorts for theschool picture.

　　他說他之所以穿這套衣服拍照，是因為學校要求他穿漂亮一點的衣服去拍照，而不要穿那些難看的運動短褲。

　　With each passing year, the frames change, the mustache gets a little bushier and the hair begins to grey - but the outfit stays the same.

　　每一年照片的框架都會改變，他的胡子變得越來越蓬松，頭發(fā)漸漸變白——唯一不變的就是他身上的那套衣服。

　　Mr Irby added that it is the same shirt he&aposs been using for every photograph which he can still get into - as long as he sucks his stomach in a little.

　　他還說每張照片里他穿的都是同一件襯衫，只要他把大肚子縮一縮，就都還是能穿得進去。

　　The school principal said Mr Irby&aposs legacy would be that he taught all his school children the value of good sportsmanship and to respect others. The school gym has been renamed in his honor.

　　該學校的校長說，他給學生留下的遺產就是教會了孩子們運動精神的價值以及如何去尊重他人。為了紀念他，學校以他的名字來重新命名學校里的體育館。
