???　　The newly configured major in Gender, Culture, and Society (GSOC), offers exciting opportunities to explore the role of gender in human culture. The new major provides opportunities to focus on women and on feminist theory, gender and sexuality, and gender and health. Students can also take a more international and transnational perspective on contemporary global issues including the possibilities and problems associated with economic and cultural globalization, migration, diaspora, and religious fundamentalism.

???　　1職業(yè)名稱：語文教師、公務員、廣告策劃、文職干部、文秘人員、新聞記者、報刊編輯等。
???　　2就業(yè)領域：可在科研機關、高等院校從事研究、教學工作、有的可從事對外漢語教學，可適宜在黨政機關，包括報刊宣傳、新聞出版、影視文化、互聯(lián)網、對外交流其他企事業(yè)部門從事語言文字工作的專門人才。
???　　3專業(yè)和就業(yè)對口比率：72%。
???　　4中國就業(yè)介紹：
???　　a.社會需求量：本專業(yè)主要培養(yǎng)掌握漢語和中國文學方面的基本知識，受到有關理論、發(fā)展歷史、研究現(xiàn)狀等方面的系統(tǒng)教育和業(yè)務能力的基本訓練，該專業(yè)由于本身的替代性比較強，缺乏獨有的專業(yè)技能壁壘，近年來就業(yè)困難比較突出。但是，如果平時多關注企業(yè)對人才的需求狀況，培養(yǎng)自己的職業(yè)素養(yǎng)，仍然能夠找到不少的突破點。從2005年的人才需求狀況來看，媒體、出版、廣告、市場營銷這一類的人才需求量比較大。
???　　b.薪資情報：2005年剛畢業(yè)的師范類本科生對1500元月薪的一份工作應該基本滿意，但經過三四年，他們會是很強的“潛力股”。據(jù)調查在城區(qū)，工作三四年的中學教師平均工資2000元~3000元，在一些企業(yè)辦的學校，骨干教師的平均工資達到5000元以上。
???　　c.執(zhí)照：教師可考教師資格證。
???　　5美國就業(yè)介紹：
???　　a.社會需求量：職業(yè)市場需求量不大，但因為該專業(yè)畢業(yè)生不多，所以就業(yè)情況尚好。近年因為反恐的需要，美國政府對外語人才的需求激增，此專業(yè)畢業(yè)生待遇也開始提高。近一半的畢業(yè)生在公司工作，約1/3的畢業(yè)生從事教育工作，10%的畢業(yè)生在政府工作。職業(yè)為商業(yè)、教育機構的管理人員，教師，秘書，保險、證券、房地產行業(yè)的人員。
