  據(jù)《耶魯大學(xué)日報大學(xué)指南》折出,馬凱特大學(xué)各學(xué)院和學(xué)科的入學(xué)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)都不同,其中以舉國知名的物理治療科選拔最嚴(yán)謹(jǐn),學(xué)生則認(rèn)為最佳課程是商科、歷史、護(hù)理和牙科。工科近年來逐漸受學(xué)生歡迎,“合作課程”尤其獲得好評。還有,大眾傳播學(xué)亦辦得很好,尤以廣告、公共關(guān)系、廣播及電子傳媒為然。最多學(xué)生修讀的學(xué)科,依次是商科管理(17%)、工程(15%)、大眾傳播(14%)、社會科學(xué)(9樸)、健康科學(xué)(8%)。

  第一年新生有43%獲獎學(xué)金,平均每人約3000美元,海外生雖較難取得,但并非無機(jī)會。第一二年學(xué)生規(guī)定必須住宿,大學(xué)不設(shè)截止申請日期,前一兩年有6081人投考,錄取人數(shù)達(dá)4903人。
