  下面這10個問題你每天都可以問問自己,它們有助于你鍛煉自我反思和反省的藝術(shù),來監(jiān)督你生活的進(jìn)程。最好是在一天結(jié)束、睡覺之前來問這些問題。

  1. Am I a little better than yesterday?

  我比昨天進(jìn)步了一點(diǎn)點(diǎn)嗎?

  You know you are progressing if you are a little better today that who you were yesterday. Instead of comparing yourself with others and falling prey to envy, jealousy and despair, try to become a little better every day.

  如果今天比昨天的自己好了那么一點(diǎn),你就會知道自己正在進(jìn)步。不要把自己和他人比較,成為羨慕、嫉妒和絕望的犧牲品。試著每天進(jìn)步一點(diǎn)點(diǎn)。

  2. Have I built my character?

  Your character is what dines you. Build your character upon the principles of truthfulness, humility, meekness and honesty. Character is not built in a day. It is built by daily investments you put in as you go on with your day’s activities. Do your work withintegrity. Treat everyone with equality. Keep your words soft, sweet and comforting. Do not do anything, even if it seems petty, that can erode your character.

  Did you feel excited about going to work today? Did you put all your heart and enthusiasm into work? If no, find out what is hindering you from doing so and resolve it. A satisfying day at work will elevate you mood.

  4. What did I learn new today?

  Learn something new every day. Your mind and your health are the most precious resources that have been bestowed upon you. It is important to keep your mind sharp and supple. Read a book. Learn a new language. Build your vocabulary. Learn something new that you find interesting or usul to you. You cease to grow once you stop learning. Learning is never a waste of time. It will sure fetch huge dividends.

  5. Have I made healthier choices?

  我是否做出了更健康的選擇?

  Your health is your responsibility. Jog, run, or hit the gym; anything your schedule will allow you to. Sparing as little as 15 minutes a day is better than being dead 24 hours a day! Avoiding unhealthy food habits is a healthier choice as well. Reduce the consumption of junk food.

  你有責(zé)任讓自己保持健康。慢跑、跑步,或者去健身房,在你的日程表允許的情況下盡可能多鍛煉。一天只花15分鐘鍛煉也比一天24小時不動要好!避免不健康的飲食習(xí)慣也是一種更健康的選擇。減少垃圾食物的攝入量。

  6. Have I protected my planet?

  It is your duty to preserve the planet you live on. Do not leave the water running while you brush or shave. Turn off the lights and electrical appliances when not in use. Leave the earth a better place for your children.

  你有責(zé)任維護(hù)你所居住的地球環(huán)境。刷牙或刮胡子的時候不要讓水一直流著。當(dāng)你不用時關(guān)掉電燈和其他電器設(shè)備。為你的孩子們留下一個更好的地球環(huán)境。

  7. Have I expressed my love for my family and friends?

  Note the word “express”. It is not enough to think lovingly or merely talk. Express your love and affection both in words as well as in action. Do a little work of love every day. A small investment everyday will reap big dividends.

  8. Have I spent quality time with my spouse?

  Spend quality time with your spouse. You don’t have to go out on a date every day. Take time to share your day, your experiences and your feelings with your spouse. And listen to your spouse as well.

  和你的伴侶一起享受品質(zhì)時光。你們沒有必要每天出去約會?;ㄒ恍r間和他/她分享你一天的經(jīng)歷和感受,也聽聽他/她的。

  9. Do I bear any grudges against anyone?

  我是否對某些人心存怨恨?

  Bore you go to sleep, rewind your day and check if you’d had a bad experience with anyone that day. No matter whose fault it was, try to resolve it bore midnight. Call and say sorry. Speak it out and resolve the matter. Brooding grudges and malice isn’t healthy for your heart. The anger destroys you slowly. Forgive and let go, make peace.

  入睡前回想這一天,看看你是否和某人有不愉快的經(jīng)歷。不管是誰的錯,試著在午夜來臨前化解怨恨。打電話去道歉。說出來,解決這個問題。帶著怨恨和惡意對你的心臟健康不利。憤怒會慢慢將你摧毀。學(xué)會原諒和放下,講和吧。

  10. Am I content with my life?

  Be content with what you have. Make happiness your ambition. Mind you, that doesn’t mean you have to be complacent. You need to have goals and strive for the best. But be content with what you have been blessed with. Count your many blessings and life live cheerfully.

  對你所擁有的感到滿足。讓你的抱負(fù)感到幸福。記住,這并不意味著你要自滿。你需要有目標(biāo),并朝著最好的去奮斗。但要對你已經(jīng)擁有的感到知足??纯茨闼鶕碛械倪@么多,然后幸福地生活。
