漢堡包竟然起源于中國?.

  The world's first hamburger doesn't come fromwhere you think it comes from. It wasn't invented inthe United States, and it didn't originate inGermany. No, the world's first hamburger comesfrom China.

  世界上第一只漢堡從哪來?不是你想的那樣哦——不是起源于美國,也不是發(fā)源于德國。哦不,世界上第一只漢堡起來自中國哦。

  If you're scratching your head right now, you're notalone. But Chinese hamburgers are very real andthey dinitely predate the hamburgers we call ourown in the U.S. Known as rou jia mo, which translates to "meat burger" or "meat sandwich,"they consist of chopped meat inside a pita-like bun, and they've been around since the Qindynasty, from about 221 BC to 207 BC. Despite the differences between this Chinese streetfood and our American-style burgers, the rou jia mo "has been called the world's firsthamburger."

  如果你現(xiàn)在正在抓耳撓腮,你不是一個(gè)人。但是中國漢堡包真的存在,而且早于我們美國本土的“漢堡包”,在中國稱為“肉夾饃”( meat burger,meat sandwich),它們是由切碎的肉塞在開口圓餅里做成的,從秦朝開始(公元前221年-公元前207年)就有了。雖然這種中國街頭小吃和我們美利堅(jiān)的漢堡大不相同,肉夾饃被稱為“世界上第一只漢堡”。

  The rou jia mo originated in the Shaanxi Province of China, and is now eaten all over thecountry. It's typically prepared and eaten on the street. The dough for the bun, or mo, consistsof a simple mixture of wheat flour, water and maybe yeast. Of course recipes may vary, butthis basic equation makes for a chewy and subtle pillow for the delicious filling. While the mo istraditionally baked in a clay oven, today it's often fried in a pan. They may look a little likeChinese steamed buns or baos, but the dough for those are, of course, steamed, not baked orfried.

  肉夾饃起源于中國陜西省,如今已遍布全國,是代表性的街頭小吃。生面團(tuán)做成的“饃”,就是簡單的由小麥粉,水,可能還有酵母做成的。當(dāng)然啦,配方不盡相同,但是基本做法都差不多,咬一口軟糯可口,填充(肉)唇齒留香。而傳統(tǒng)的做法,饃是在土灶里烘焙而成,如今則常常放在平底鍋里煎制??赡芸瓷先容^像中國的饅頭或是包子,但是那些是蒸的,不是烤的或炸的。

  The meat filling might consist of chopped pork, be, lamb or chicken that has been stewedwith a variety of spices, like ginger, cloves, coriander and star anise. You might also find herbslike cilantro or greens like lettuce garnishing the sandwich.

  夾雜里面的肉會由切碎的豬肉、牛肉、羊肉或是雞肉填充,由文火慢燉,加入多種調(diào)味料:如姜、丁香、香菜和八角。你可能會發(fā)現(xiàn)三明治里有很像香菜的薄荷葉,或是像生菜這樣的綠色蔬菜做配菜。
