　　The number of Chinese students seeking education in the United Kingdom in 2016 has continued to grow, according to figures recently released by the British Council, the United Kingdom’s international organization for educational opportunities and cultural relations.

　　據(jù)英國(guó)文化教育協(xié)會(huì)最近公布的數(shù)據(jù)顯示，2016申請(qǐng)到英國(guó)留學(xué)的中國(guó)學(xué)生數(shù)量持續(xù)增長(zhǎng)。

　　Nearly 73,000 students from the Chinese mainland obtained student visas from the UK by the end of September, a 9 percent jump from the same period in 2015, the council said at a recent news conference in Beijing.

　　該協(xié)會(huì)最近在北京一場(chǎng)新聞發(fā)布會(huì)上表示說(shuō)，截止9月底，中國(guó)大陸有近73000名學(xué)生從英國(guó)獲得了學(xué)生簽證，同比去年增長(zhǎng)了9個(gè)百分點(diǎn)。

　　A group of statistics and market-research results relevant to education and overseas study in the UK were revealed during the event.

　　在會(huì)上還發(fā)布了一組與英國(guó)教育和海外學(xué)習(xí)有關(guān)的統(tǒng)計(jì)數(shù)據(jù)和市場(chǎng)研究結(jié)果。

　　China is the top origin country for overseas students in Britain. Most Chinese students in the UK receive higher education, and their number has increased by 50 percent over the past five years, according to Jazreel Goh, director of education and sports marketing at British Council China.

　　中國(guó)是英國(guó)最大的留學(xué)生來(lái)源地。據(jù)英國(guó)文化教育協(xié)會(huì)中國(guó)分會(huì)教育和體育市場(chǎng)部主任戈赫表示說(shuō)，大多數(shù)到英國(guó)留學(xué)的中國(guó)學(xué)生都是接受高等教育，在過(guò)去五年里這些學(xué)生的數(shù)量增長(zhǎng)了50%。

　　The council’s research finds that academic reputation and a safe environment are among the biggest attractions of studying in Britain for Chinese students and their parents.

　　該協(xié)會(huì)研究發(fā)現(xiàn)，學(xué)術(shù)聲譽(yù)和安全環(huán)境都是對(duì)中國(guó)學(xué)生和他們的家長(zhǎng)到英國(guó)學(xué)習(xí)最有吸引力的地方。

　　Goh says the UK has been strengthening cooperation with China in education in recent years. By the end of 2016, about 270 cases of UK-China jointly operated courses or educational institutions had been carried out in China. Chinese students can acquire degrees recognized in Britain by taking online courses and studying at jointly operated institutions.

　　戈赫表示說(shuō)，近年來(lái)英國(guó)一直在加強(qiáng)和中國(guó)在教育方面的合作。截止2016年底，已經(jīng)在中推出了大約270個(gè)中英合作開(kāi)設(shè)課程和教育機(jī)構(gòu)。中國(guó)學(xué)生可以通過(guò)參加網(wǎng)絡(luò)課程、在中英聯(lián)合開(kāi)辦機(jī)構(gòu)學(xué)習(xí)來(lái)獲得受英國(guó)承認(rèn)的學(xué)位。
